Allende’s reliable Volvo Penta engines have analog temperature gauges at the helm. Both engines have upgraded stainless steel exhaust elbows, installed Oct 2021. The engines are well-maintained with preventative maintenance performed on or before the manufacturer’s recommended service intervals.

There is a storage shelf for tools and spares in each engine room.

Allende has three Lewmar EVO winches at the helm (one electric), as well as a winch for the davit lines and a winch on each aft corner for spinnaker lines. Excellent quality running rigging, with most lines replaced November 2021. Annual rigging inspection reports are available.

Allende’s tender has an aluminum hull, Hypalon tubes, bow locker and dry floor. The tender is equipped with a Mantus anchor (2.5lb), 5gal gas tank, 5x Type IV throwables and a magnetic / removable all-around white navigation lamp. Sunbrella dinghy chaps added October 2021.
